We screen outdoor films in downtown Ottawa.

Ah, the pleasures of summer – birds chirping, the smell of freshly cut grass, the twinkle of the first stars as dusk falls, and the gentle glow of the silver screen. Yes, Centretown Movies is back for yet another season! We’re heading into our eighth consecutive year, and with a lot of new faces, we’ve started what should be a great little festival fer y’all.

The season will have showings every weekend, starting July 18th and ending August 8th, inclusive. The organizing committee of the festival is currently working to bring the community great movie presentations. But we're going to need your help. The festival requires a lot of volunteers to help with setting up for the movie presentations, helping with guiding patrons and answering questions, and tearing down and storing the equipment after each showing. And of course, an absolute requirement is that you gotta love sitting around in the open air while watching a great movie. It’s no easy task. Visit out volunteer page for more information.
